The City of White Oak is committed to financial transparency to its citizenry and has established a comprehensive online resource for citizens to review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial documents. The City has chosen to participate in the Texas Comptroller Leadership Circle Program and in 2014 received its third silver award and is working towards the platinum designation. The Leadership Circle award recognizes local governments across Texas that strive to meet a high standard for online financial transparency. In March 2016, this program will change to "Transparency Stars" and include general criteria that goes into a deeper level of transparency than the previous Leadership Circle Program. http://www.texastransparency.org/Local_Government/stars/
