
The City of White Oak is led by an elected Mayor and 5 member
City Council. Each holds a two-year term of office, and all
five City Council members area elected at large. White Oak
is a Home Rule City, subject only to the limitations imposed
by the City Charter and the State of Texas Constitution. The
Mayor and City Council hire a City Coordinator and all department
heads to implement the daily operations of the City.
City Council meetings take place every second Tuesday of
the month at 6 p.m. in White Oak City Hall (906 South White
Oak Road). The meetings are open to the public. Members of the
general public may request to address the Council, but the request
must be made in writing no less than 15 days prior to the Councils
regular meeting. Additionally, at every meeting Council allows
the general public to speak for a maximum of three minutes on
a non-agenda item.
