Inspections

The mission of the Building Inspection Department is to see that all buildings in the city of White Oak are as safe as possible for all citizens; to ensure that all citizens are treated with respect; and inspections are consistent and timely, thus providing more efficient service for the customers.

The building Inspection Department is responsible for enforcement of various City codes relating to construction of property within the White Oak City Limits. Inspections are made to insure compliance with City codes in areas of building construction. The Inspection Department issues building permits as well as permits for plumbing, electrical, sign installation, house moving, demolition, swimming pools, Certificates of Occupancy, registration and bonds to electricians, plumbers, building contractors, roofing contractors, and cement contractors. Inspections are made throughout various stages of construction.

Office hours for inspections are from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
