The Water & Sewer Department of White Oak supervises all water and waste water operations for the city.
The Source of the City of White Oak is the Big Sandy Reservoir. The capacity of the water plant is 3.3 million gallons per day and the average daily consumption is 850,000 gallons. Peak consumption is 2.54 million gallons per day. The cities storage capacity ground water is 2.9 million gallons and storage capacity elevated is 400,000 gallons. Pressure in mains is 40-100 PSI.

The City of White Oak has an aeration type of treatment plant. Sewer serves ninety-five percent of the community, and the average daily load is 700,000 gallons. The design of the sewer plan has a capacity of 1 million gallons.

The City of White Oak has a contract with Olympic Waste out of Kilgore, Texas for our Solid Waste pick up service. Garbage pick up is once a week on Wednesday. Customers must have their garbage out by 7 a.m. to ensure prompt pickup. If you have any problems with trash pick up please call Linda Lee at City Hall at 903-759-3936, ext. 20.
